Description
This is an attractive antique Ming Dynasty style Chinese altar or console table dating to the first half of the 20th century.
The table is made from elm and is fairly compact.
It is perfect for use as a console or side table and has a narrow rectangular top and two carved drawers to the front which have round metal drop handles.
The table is set on tall block legs ending with horse hoof feet and the whole piece is finished in bright cherry red lacquer with black and gold detailing.
CONDITION
The table is in solid structural condition.
The top and legs had some small losses to the lacquered finish which have been sympathetically touched up.
