MADE by Jay&Co in Collaboration with The Chairmaker & JAB Anstoetz
The Chairmaker got in touch with us and told us that they had lots of leftover hand carved legs, and also bits of wood, that they were planning to burn in a big bonfire, unless we had a better use for them. We rolled up the sleeves, and decided we could bring together their amazingly beautiful and very good quality leftovers with sumptuous fabrics from JAB Anstoetz, Jay’s design direction and our upholstery skills.
The result is a collection of wingback chairs and footstools; the same overall style, but slightly different legs each time, creating unique pieces of furniture.
Having used reclaimed and recycled materials to craft this item, we are happy to declare that this is a piece that is 80% eco friendly:
The Wood – FSC certified and all pieces used were saved from a ‘bonfire’
The Foam – made from recycled elements and biodegradable
The Filling – made from recycled elements and biodegradable
The Velvet – made from recycled bottles
