Description
Superb floor lamp designed by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for the Italian company āFlosā in the 80s, Butterfly model.
Black enamelled aluminum stem, surmounted by a dimmable halogen lamp, a pair of etched glass encloses and shields the bulb.
The magic and mystery are felt in this 80s floor lamp, with 2 large folding fans in fabric, 68 cm wide, which can be moved as in a traditional dance show by a geisha or a maiko to shield or increase the intensity of the light.
The reference to Japan is found not only in the fan shape of the speakers but also in the fabric in which they are made, which recalls rice paper.
