A lovely early 19th century English Regency period tilt top breakfast table, this is a sturdy and functional mahogany piece which is a great space saver.
– Attractive half matched figured veneer top, with cross banded surround and reeded edge.
– Rounded corners.
– Reeded splayed legs terminating in brass caps and castors.
– Handsome turned column support.
– Brass latching mechanism in good working order and easy to use.
– Easy to move on castors.
This is a great space saving piece, which continues to be functional 200 years after it was made and will make a wonderful dining or breakfast table for any home.
In good age related condition, this has some restored splits to the wood on the side which is at the bottom when the table is closed, but they are not obtrusive and do not affect function. The table is sturdy and the locking mechanism is in good order.
