20th Century Yew Wood Coffee Table
£330
Description
An attractive coffee table with a rustic feel, this is a lovely piece of yew with the textured knots and grain of the natural wood visible and a beautiful honey colour. It has a useful lower shelf and stands on three legs which are circular at the top and have a soft octagonal shape towards the bottom. Heavy and stable, a low table of this size is always useful, whether as a coffee or side table beside a sofa, or perhaps to use as a base for plants in a conservatory.
Dating to the 20th century, this is made of yew and originates from England.
In good age related condition, this is a sturdy piece which displays the rustic nature of the natural wood and there is some polished work around a few of the knots to keep the wood stable, with one knot hole which goes through. There are some water spots and a minor shallow scratch to the top, but these are consistent with age related use, unobtrusive and blend in well with the wood grain.
