Description
Fabulous Welsh Oak Cwpwrdd Deuddarn (two-part cupboard). This is the best example we have ever seen, dating from around 1700-1720 with great colour and patina throughout. The upper section has a moulded cornice above frieze with turned finials to either side. The two doors and centre section have shaped fielded panels with half pilasters, while he central panel slides to the right as you look at the piece to reveal three hidden oak spice drawers. On the lower section, there are two drawers over two cupboards and all are sitting on stile feet. This really is a stunning piece of Welsh Oak Furniture. Panelled sides, the best backboards and top boards and of pegged construction. Good condition.
