Description
Fantasia
“Fantasia” is inspired by Paul Klee’s fish-themed art, with two art design prints effectively decoupaged on this imaginative piece.
This original Beautility cabinet (circa the 1940s) has been refurbished in a charcoal grey, with a glorious unexpected dark orange interior. Perfect statement storage for living or dining room spaces.
The stylish angled central drawers are fronted with shimmering variegated gold leaf, and there are two additional lower drawers in charcoal grey. At one end, the cabinet interior features its original mirror and iconic Beautility gold striped paper, with a new interior rechargeable and motion-sensitive light, and sumptuous gold paint; at the other end, a generously sized cupboard, with a quirky art design door and gorgeous orange interior.
“Colour is the place where our brain and the Universe meet” (Klee)

Welcome to Lady Griddlebone Vintage Originals! I love redesigning old furniture for contemporary homes. I’m lucky to live in beautiful Scotland and find plenty of well-made stylish items. I try to bring out the unique character of every piece: by sympathetically combining glorious colours, original wood grains, and historical or quirky patterns, its true beauty can shine again. I only use professional quality chalk and mineral paints, waxes and glazes, to give a superb finish.
