Rare Mahogany & Beech Wall Clock By Gent & Co, 1940s
£325
Description
A very rare and stunning commercial wall clock. A heavy and really solid clock made in Leicester by Gent & Co. around the 1940s.
The frame is mahogany and beech sections at the rear. The case has been thoroughly hand renovated and republished without losing any of the clock’s original ageing. The dial has aged to an overall off-white colour. The markings are all clear as too is the hand-painted text. The hands show just a bit of wear. The brass bezel has been thoroughly cleaned but not lacquered allowing for it to mellow.
Overall diameter 39 cm x 8 cm.
Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.
