This modern two-seater sofa Pegasus Low Back Loveseat model, was manufactured by the Norwegian company Ekornes. The unconventional frame is made of bent teak wood in a warm shade of brown. Curved armrests flow smoothly into wide, rectangular legs. It is upholstered with high-quality toffee-colored Alcantara fabric. The comfortable seat cushions and side cushions are removable. The sofa is very comfortable. It is distinguished by its interesting design, which combined with functionality creates a perfect symbiosis. The Pegasus model also includes armchairs, tables and larger sofas.
The history of the company dates back to 1934 when Jens Ellingsen Ekornes founded a furniture company. At the beginning, he produced springs for beds. In 1971, the revolutionary Stressless® reclining chair was introduced to the market and was the first lounge-television furniture. The Stressless® philosophy quickly gained recognition. Comfortable furniture made with extreme precision, innovative functions and an interesting appearance quickly increased the number of customers and the company gained worldwide fame. Ekornes is the largest furniture manufacturer in the Nordic region. For over 80 years, they have been guided by the same principles of solid work, continuing the Scandinavian heritage while caring for the planet.
This sofa is in original vintage condition. It has minor dirt on the fabric, minor scrapes. The seat is at a height of 44 cm.
