Description
This extremely rare sofa set created by the Polish company Paged in 1972. The furniture was produced in cooperation with the Arab Republic of Egypt. This set consists of a sofa and two armchairs. The form of the objects is characterized by strong elements of the design ideas of the most eminent architects from the Mid-Century Modern era. The organic, round shapes are reminiscent of the designs of Danish and Italian masters of the school of furniture creation. The rounded and light line of the sofa is broken by the tilted sides. The shape of the armchairs resembles an open shell. This set has been restored and covered with high-quality velour in shades of powder pink and burgundy. The seat cushions are additionally reinforced with strong and durable foam. Items have been restored in accordance with the art of upholstery and the aesthetics of the production era. On request, we have photographic documentation of items from before the renovation. The legs are in original condition, made of solid wood in a dark brown color and finished with brass details. This set looks original and exceptional, and objects of this class placed in the interior become the focal point of any arrangement. We may be tempted to say that it is currently the only model for sale in the world. It was made in a limited number of copies and is underappreciated in the arts and crafts market. Our offer is addressed to design connoisseurs who want to have in their collection a piece of furniture that is special in its class and out of reach for others.
Paged Meble is a brand with furniture traditions dating back to 1881. It is one of the leading furniture manufacturers in Europe and one of the few in the world that produces bentwood furniture. In the 1960s and 1970s, the company commissioned the production of its furniture abroad, and today it has two factories in Poland. Thoughtful designs, carefully selected materials combined with production facilities and expert competencies make furniture a synonym of quality in the industry. The most important thing for the company is user satisfaction, both in terms of ergonomics, design and operation.
This set is in very good vintage condition. The seat is 45 cm high. Armchair height 82 cm | Width 78 cm | The depth is 70 cm.
