Tan Sad 1960’s Vintage Industrial Machinist Swivel Chair

Original Patchwork leather seat and backrest.

This stool would have been used most likely by a metal machinist factory worker back in the 1960s, it has to be the most comfortable seat I’ve ever sat on, really soft leather, well used and worn.

Chrome backing plate.

Steel base and swivel ring for feet.

Condition Report:

The leather seat and backrest are in great condition, some stitching has come away from the seat -(Images of the top left seat), and a couple of tiny holes. I have given it a new colored wax to bring the leather back to life and it now looks and feels soft to the touch.

The chrome has been given a good clean and now looks amazing.

The steel base is in good condition and the swivel base works well.

The steel arm and the nob have been given oil, but are fixed in position, so may take a strong person and more oil to lower or raise the seat.

The seat is in a good position for desks at the moment.
