We have a pair of Victorian railway platform benches. selling individually. The term flip flop comes from the backrest switching to enable travellers to sit facing the track they are waiting for the train. In the home it enables you to sit at the table or flip the backrest and sit facing the other way. A really unusual rare item which is oozing history. It would be great in a kitchen diner or dining room.
The benches are made from inch thick pitch pine and are original the cast iron frame/legs are also in great condition and are again original.
