Description
An attractive 19th century chair of yew, this has the appearance of a Windsor chair on a rocking base, with lovely tactile bentwood arms and a pierced splat. It has an incised stamp for the maker, J. Spencer, on the side of the seat.

A wonderful chair to have by the fire, or in a country kitchen.
In good age related condition, the spindles are solid and the chair is sturdy. There is a repaired split to the upper splat. The rockers have thick leather runners beneath, but one has a central section missing, so that the rocking action is not as smooth as it once would have been.
