A good quality large and solid 5 ft butchers block with standing base, this has the attractive concave shape obtained from regular use over a long period.
– Top constructed from end grain blocks, designed to endure and care for knife blades.
– Block is removable from pine base stand.
– Iron braces at each corner of the block.
– Under shelf in the base for handy storage.
– Original iron bolt ends visible in the sides of the block.
– Lovely patina and colour from long use.
This piece will look fabulous in a large country kitchen as a standalone statement island piece, providing storage below and a good preparation surface.
In good condition showing the wear consistent with age and use as a butcher’s block.
