Description
This very rare organic-shaped desk comes from the Netherlands and was manufactured during the 1960s. It has a perfect boomerang form and is made from precious wenge wood with a natural thin grain. With a creative and masterfully crafted wooden structure, this piece deserves the limelight in design history. This desk combines function and aesthetics in a striking manner, keeping the form in service of the user while keeping it elegant and modern. The bean-shaped tabletop has rounded edges with a wooden border. Under the top, there are two drawers with reflex shape fit to the desk construction. The included key works like a handle. The turned oblique legs were finished with brass feet. This elegant custom piece of furniture is the quintessence of Mid-Century Modern design and probably has been made up for special order.
This wonderful piece is in original very good vintage condition. Wear consistent with age and use, minor traces on the veneer.
