Mid Century Ply wood Desk by Liden Furniture from 1972 attributed to Alva Aalto

This 1972 desk was part of a Liden “whitewood” range which was released as a paint your own range. This desk was spared the paintbrush and through age is now this wonderful golden colour. It is incredibly rare to find one like this.

The desk has 4 drawers. The larger of which has built in storage sections for stationary. There is also a further removable ply storage tray which can be used in either of the 3 smaller drawers.
It stands on tapered legs and is a true statement piece of furniture.

This piece features sculpted inset handles similar in design to those of designer Alvar Aalto.
It is in good condition with only minor age and use related marks as seen in the photos. We have given it a coat of wax for protection.

It has been very well made and is a testament to vintage furniture design.

The measurement between the leg to the side of the drawer is 54 cm at the top where the leg joins the desk & 56 cm at the bottom of the leg.

We can deliver to ground floor premises only unless a prior arrangement has been made with us (there may be an additional charge).

You are of course welcome to collect your furniture by appointment in person at no charge from our studio in Lincolnshire.

Returns

Please ensure that the item fits the space intended, or will fit into your property, up stairs etc. before purchase. We will not offer any refund on the basis that they do not.

Please note you must contact us within 3 days after receipt of your item should you wish to return it. You will be responsible for all return delivery costs and items must reach us within 7 days. Your item must reach us in the exact condition you have received it. We do not offer a collection service.
