Early 18th Century Georgian Tripod Tilt Top Table

A true English antique, this lovely early 18th century oak table from the period of George I continues to be functional 300 years after it was first made. The tilt top means that it can be easily stored at the side of a room until it is needed, saving space and displaying the decorative carved design.

– Tilt top with original birdcage mechanism.
– Period geometric carving in a design of squares and circles, with a central four leaf pattern.
– Tripod base.
– 5 plank top.
– Rusted iron brackets strengtheners underneath the top, either side of the central plank, holding the joints tight.

In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use.
