Danish Gangsø Møbler MCM Tiled Teak Coffee Table
£310
Description
This wonderful Scandinavian coffee table will make a great addition to any home, but will particularly suit the Mid Century Modern aesthetic. It was made by Gangsø Møbler of Denmark and the original circular label remains underneath. Four textured tiles are mounted into a satin finished teak veneer square surface with rounded corners and a lovely deep colour, the tile design being attributed to Poul Hermann Poulsen who worked for Gangsø in the late 1970s and early 1980s. These tiles make a great surface for a coffee table, with no need to worry about cup marks on the wood. The piece is very sturdily built and sits solidly and relatively low to the floor, with an H stretcher design supporting the top.
Dating to the 1970s, this is made of teak veneered wood and tile, originating from Denmark.
In good age related condition, this has few faults. There are some minor surface marks to the top which have been polished out and well blended, so are not easily visible.
