This set of two matched and rare etageres was manufactured in Warsaw by famous Polish factory – Zakład Wyrobów Metalowych “Konrad, Jarnuszkiewicz i S-ka”. This workshop was founded in 1871. Originally, the company functioned under the name “Władysław Gostyński i S-ka” but from 1894 the establishment was took over by Gustaw Konrad and Stanisław Jarnuszkiewicz. This factory is a historical place on the Art Deco design map. They were creating the highest quality, simple and functional furniture from precious materials like brass or nickel, designed by well-known architects and advertised in the pages of such magazines as “Architecture and Construction”. A lot of pieces from “Konrad, Jarnuszkiewicz i S-ka” adorned offices, apartments and lounges important persons from government and intelligentsia, e.g. Iranian Shah and luxury hotels in Russia. The factory has been closed in 1949.
This set of two cabinets was manufactured at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. They are made from solid brass and have old marble tops, metal drawers and locker. The pieces have a sculptured design with light and classic ornaments. Original condition. The metal board with the maker signature is inside the drawer. The height of the tabletop is 80 cm.
