Ercol Mid Century Drop Leaf Trolley Model 505

Description

A versatile mid century modern trolley of good proportions, this lovely model 505 piece from the iconic Ercol range was originally designed in the 1960s and has two drop leaves which extend the top surface to a useful size. Made of blond elm and beech, it can be used as a serving trolley for food, drinks or high tea and has plenty of space on the lower shelves which, along with the top, all have guard rails to prevent items from sliding off when the trolley is moved. There is a solid wooden pull support system below the leaves which makes the fully extended top sturdy enough for most items and the large swivel castors make it easy to move. A great piece for any home, this is both useful and beautiful.

Dating to the mid 20th century, this is made of elm and beech, and originates from England.

In good age related condition, there are two minor dents to the wood along one hinged edge, which are unobtrusive and polished out.
