Edwardian Mahogany Bow Front Shop Cabinet with Satinwood Stringing
£1,620
Description
An elegant Edwardian bow fronted cabinet with beautifully delicate satinwood stringing and marquetry, this will make a wonderful display piece for a collector, or can be returned to its original function as a shop cabinet for delicate, valuable or luxury items, complementing a traditional interior. It has glazed sides, three adjustable plate glass shelves, a mirrored base and cupboard section below for storage. There is a fine marquetry block pattern around the top and a pretty inlay around the keyhole.
Dating to circa 1910, this is made of mahogany & glass, and originates from England.
In good age related condition, this has a small nibble to the bow front of one of the plate glass shelves together with the unobtrusive minor marks, scuffs and tiny chips to the wood expected for its age, but the piece is in generally very nice order.
