Extremely rare radio and DJ cabinet designed and produced by Aldo Tura for the company of the same name Tura Milano in the late 60s.
The piece of furniture is entirely covered in goatskin, or parchment, dyed tobacco, with details, profiles and elements in solid brass combined with smoked plexiglass.
It has a plexiglass compartment for vinyl records and a door for storing cherry cassettes, it has a large upper compartment where the instruments are located, covered by a brass and plexiglass door.
The interior is custom built-in and features a Sansui turntable, a Sansui radio and an AKAI cassette player, the pinnacle of Japanese technology at the time.
It should be noted that all the instrumentation is original from the period and in perfect working order.
The piece of furniture is in excellent condition, the leather is practically perfect and has no defects and there are no scratches or marks on the plexiglass, there may be some small signs of aging given its almost 60 years, as shown in the photographs.
The TURA Milano Italia manufacturing mark is present under the instrument compartment.
This item appears to be more unique than rare, custom-made for a customer at the time and currently the only one ever presented to the market, it therefore remains a piece for true connoisseurs and collectors of one of the greatest expressions of Italian design and manufacturing of the time.
