Walnut Canterbury Whatnot
£720
Description
A quality piece of Victorian antique furniture, this Canterbury whatnot has a beautiful burr walnut matched veneer to the flat surfaces. There is a gallery at the top, with an attractive incised design, a drawer at the bottom with delicate ebonised pulls, and the handsome turned corner uprights are fluted with petal shaped decorations and incised dots, these being repeated on the feet above the ceramic castors. This is a great size and easy to move around a room, and will provide good storage for magazines, books, sheet music, or even vinyl, with a display surface at the top.
Dating to the 19th century, this is made of walnut and originates from England.
In good age related condition, this has only the minor wear commensurate with over a century of use.
Height – 98 cm
