Archie Shine Mid-Century Honduran Rosewood ‘Hamilton’ Sideboard By Robert Heritage.

This rare rosewood sideboard was designed by Robert Heritage and manufactured by Archie Shine.

Archie Shine – Manufacturer

Manufactured in the late 1950s, the elegant Danish style design has a long rectangular top over four reeded drawers and two cupboards with removable shelves, the piece is raised on four narrow tapered legs.

Robert Heritage – Designer

The beautiful long sideboard was from the ‘Hamilton Rosewood range’ an award-winning design for Archie Shine in 1958. It features wonderful reeded drawers, rosewood book-matched veneered doors and turned wooden trumpet pulls. A fabulous piece of midcentury furniture that would fit into any modern or vintage-inspired interior.

This quality piece would have been very expensive new, and has now become a desirable collector’s piece of design 1950’s furniture.

Ample storage in the large double cupboard 3 wide drawers and a felt-lined top drawer for cutlery.

Condition

In good midcentury condition, it has been carefully cleaned and re-polished this sideboard to preserve its natural original appearance. There are still some minor age-related marks and wear but nothing that detracts from the overall look and functionality of the piece.
