Description
This is a handsome antique Chinese export dresser which dates to the late 1800s.
Made of solid mixed woods it is fairly heavy and solid but has the benefit of splitting into three parts making it easy to transport and position in any home.
This piece has an evocative look which will suit an eclectic bohemian interior
The base has three carved drawers which are finished with white ceramic knobs. The drawers are set over two wide doors which open to reveal a shelved interior.
The top section has double glazed doors and an old painted interior which is a lovely pale blue colour.
The whole piece is heavily carved with quite intricate and detailed carvings.
The wood has a red stained finish which has a low sheen.
It is an unusual piece of furniture which has a lot of character.
CONDITION
The dresser is in solid structural condition with many small marks of age and use to the wood. There are various scratches, chips and dents to the wood here and there.
