Description
A lovely Victorian set of wooden apothecary drawers with glass knobs and labels, these will have been used originally in a 19th century chemist’s shop.
– Three rows of drawers, the bottom row of 3 being larger than those above.
– Shaped glass drawer knobs.
– Inset glass fronted medicine labels.
– Labels have gilt surrounds, with red borders, cream background and black lettering.
– Sturdy piece which is ready for the home.
This multi functional cabinet will look great in a kitchen, perhaps for herbs and spices, or it will fit nicely into any room where small items need tidying away, making a great storage piece for anything from string to phone chargers.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There is a small, smoothed chip to one of the glass knobs. The lowest three glass-fronted labels appear to be original, with some crackling to the paint, while those to the top have brighter gilt foil surrounds and cleaner labelling.
