Description
A handsome French Louis XVI mahogany 3 drawer commode, this has brass beading to the side panels and to the drawer fronts. The tapered legs have brass caps at the base with reeded canted corners above. The original marble top is grey with white marbling. This is a quality piece of 18th century furniture which has lasted for nearly 250 years and continues to provide a functional storage solution.
Dating to the late 18th century, this is made of mahogany and marble, and originates from France.
In good age related condition. The original marble has minor nibbles to the edges, but these are only noticeable by feel. There are very small differences to the sizes of some of the drawer fittings which are not immediately noticeable and part of the charm of the piece.
