Early 19th Century Mahogany Chest of Drawers

Description
A good piece of antique furniture, this early 19th century chest of 4 graduated drawers has the marks of quality in the stringing, crossbanding, cockbeading and matched veneers present on the drawer fronts and the top. The ornate brass ring pulls have an unusual heavy raised design to the backs, with the ring attached to that at the top right being larger than the others. Drawer linings of original green paper remain. Standing on high bun feet which have carved skirts above at the front, it has a shaped apron to the front and sides. This is a quality chest which has lasted for around two centuries and will continue to be a functional storage item moving forward. A great piece for any room.
Dating to circa 1820, this is made of mahogany and originates from the Channel Islands.
In sturdy age related condition, this has the wear expected from 200 years of use, with some stains on the top, a small piece of cockbeading missing from the bottom of the top drawer and a repair to a piece at the top of the third drawer. The colour has faded and it will benefit from some wood care, but it is structurally sound with no significant damage.
