A superb quality French breakfront bookcase in walnut, this late 19th century piece can be fully dismantled for ease of transport and installation and will look fabulous in a library with a traditional interior.
– Bears maker’s mark for Meynard Fils of St Antoine, Paris, a fine French furniture maker of the 19th century.
– adjustable shelves on saw tooth supports.
– 4 glazed doors above, all with functional locks & keys.
– 4 cupboard doors below.
– Pilaster columns and architectural features to the design.
– Original bronze fittings.
– Can be fully dismantled, as often seen in large French pieces of quality furniture from this period.
– Far left cupboard has a quality Bramah lock with separate key, for additional security.
– Stands on bun feet.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use.
