Poul Cadovius Ps System, Danish Modular Shelving Unit

This is a wonderful example of a Danish PS Modular wall System designed by Poul Cadovius in the mid 1960s. It is a fabulous sideboard/vinyl and storage cabinet with 4 display/book shelves above. Both cabinets come with an internal shelf and one has a (removable) spring loaded vinyl storage system within which could also work for filing paperwork or magazines.

This is a two bay version with a pair of cabinets with sliding doors that hang side by side to create a wall hung sideboard and a set of 4, height adjustable, shelves which hang from elegant metal side supports.

The units are mounted on the wall supports and are fully adjustable, the wall supports need screw fixing to the wall (the screws aren’t included as it depends on the type of wall as to the fixing type). The clean lines and the wall hung nature of the design has the benefit of lifting the furniture from the floor and creating visual space.

Each cabinet measures Depth 43.5cm x Width 80cm x Height 50cm, The shelves are 80cm wide x 18cm deep. The support baton’s are 200cm tall. Overall dimensions are Height 200cm x Width 160cm x Depth 43.5cm

The condition is very good having been professionally cleaned and re-oiled to both bring out the grain as well as protecting it. In good vintage condition with just the odd scratch/bruise as must be expected from a pre loved piece with history.
