Superb iconic, modular, mid century shelving unit by Ladderax. This particular system is made up of two bays and consists of a chest of 3 drawers, a desk/drinks cabinet with drop down door that converts to a worksurface plus 2 small side shelves, two teak shelves, a large teak display cabinet with glass doors and 4 adjustable, interior glass shelves, a pair of tall, black support ladders and a third shorter support ladder
The Ladderax system combines upright ‘ladders’ that support shelves and cabinets, which sit on steel rods that hook onto the rungs of the ladders. One of the great benefits of Ladderax over its Scandinavian counterparts is that it doesn’t need to be attached to the wall. The whole set up breaks down easily when it needs to be moved and is so simple to rebuild. You can also be clever and source extra cabinets, rods, shelves and/or ladders to allow you add to and alter your configuration.

In great vintage condition, some minor scratches and bruises to the teak as should be expected of a piece of its age and history but nothing that distracts from the overall aesthetic. A number of the glass shelves have some chips to their edges.The ladders have been smartened up with a respray. The support rods may show some signs of age and a bit of rust but these are hidden within the base of the cabinets and shelves so will not show once the system is constructed. Please note that the shorter ladder has been cut down by the original owner to a height of 164cm and is subsequently missing the top edge. There is some sun fade to the left side of the display cabinet. this is only visible when the system is dismantled as it reflects the rungs of the ladders.
