A pair of German vintage 1980s (design) postmodern coffee, side or bedside tables from GEBRA featuring a floating cantilevered tempered glass top. Both tables feature the original transparent maker’s sticker label on the chrome so they’re not that easy to spot (see image). The polished chrome tables with a rectangular tempered glass table top that’s held in place with a chrome circular disc at one end with the screws below. The table top can easily be removed for storage or transportation purposes.
A truly functional table and of a size and design to be easily moved around the room to wherever you require it perhaps to place your glass of wine or to eat off when you’re having “tea on the knee’. Its functional sleek design makes it ideal fit for the living room at either side of the sofa or armchairs or as bedside tables. A number of small protective rubber caps sit along the underside of the chrome base to stop them from slipping or scratching the surface beneath such as a wooden floor.
In pretty good vintage condition.. The glass shows some surface scratches some deeper than in others in places commensurate with its age and functionality. The polished chrome frame is in good condition with some light surface scratches and oxidation which are all barely noticeable. The table is well made and structurally sound and stable being fit for purpose..
