Early 20th Century Bentwood Hallstand with Rotating Top
£585
Description
A lovely bentwood hallstand, this is large enough to accommodate the coats, hats, scarfs and umbrellas of any family and has the unusual advantage of having a rotating top section so that it can be turned to find an individual hanging item. It has a beautiful turned central support, with a nice finial at the top, and stands on four legs with a ring section at the bottom to support umbrellas and sticks, with three projecting hooks below the rotating section. A wonderfully useful piece of furniture, this will fit into a large hallway, or work well in a traditionally decorated business reception area, or a cafƩ restaurant.
Dating to the early 20th century, this is made of wood and originates from England.
In good age related condition, this has a lovely characterful wear patina from regular use over a long period. There is a small area of damage on the circular bottom section which has been repaired and does not affect the structural integrity of the piece.
