Arts & Crafts Magazine Rack
£290
Description
Sleek Edwardian arts and crafts magazine stand in the Glasgow Wylie and Lochhead style. Boasting a deep brown natural mahogany colouration and classic design which could be attributed to John Ednie. Featuring a rectangular form, pierced circles at the top, three tiers of shaped storage pockets as well as splayed front feet and large cut-out openings at the top sides which aid in maneuverability.
The style was so popular other makers such as Finnegan’s Ltd. of London, Manchester and Liverpool also produced and sold very similar magazine racks. Dated as early 20th century the design closely links into the later mid century modern aesthetics and will merge nicely with a broad spectrum of interior design choices.
