Pair of Unusual Derby Dishes

Description
A pair of Derby tureen stands that have been decorated by William Billingsley of Mansfield. Billingsley had been an apprentice at the Derby factory. Each piece has been beautifully decorated with purple, blue, pink and orange flora with a fine brown rim. The pieces are circa 1799-1802 and came from the Johnson Hood collection. The Derby mark can be found to the base.

The piece is in good condition with only age related signs of wear, although one of the dishes has a small chip to the base.
