Description
This Diamond glass vase was designed by Asta Strömberg for the Swedish glass factory Strömbergshyttan during the 1960s. The vase is made of high-quality ice-blue thick glass. It creates very interesting visual effects due to the refraction of light on angular walls. The vase is a fine example of iconic mid-century Swedish design.
Asta Strömberg (1916–2011) was one of Sweden’s leading glass artists of the 20th century. She was an outstanding designer of thick-walled art glass with geometric shapes and classic expression. Her artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
This vase is in original vintage condition. It has a millimeter loss at the inlet and normal wear and tear.
