Description
1980s English modernist silver-plated decorative serving or display bowl with an interesting simple āeyeā design incised around the outside. The slight conical base has a vertical incised pattern providing both stability and additional interest to the design. The rim of the bowl has a hand-hammered finish. The inside has five barely noticeable black spots ā 1mm each. The designer has played well with both the polished and hammered surfaces.
The unknown designer or manufacturer (the bowl is not stamped or marked anywhere) has created a wonderful bowl which would make a perfect wedding gift.
In the style of Georg Jensen, Jean Despres or Richard Meier.
