Description
This miniature, collectible stoneware candleholder was made by the Swedish manufacture Gunnars Keramik Höganäs during the 1960s. Handmade with the utmost care and attention to detail. A bulging candlestick colored light green in an irregular shade. Glazed. Signed with the manufacturer’s brand.
Gunnars Keramik Höganäs was founded in 1968 by Gunnar Borg, a leading representative of 20th century Scandinavian ceramic design. After leaving Andersson & Johansson, he continued to produce miniature vases, lamp bases, candlesticks and ashtrays on his own. He used white stoneware clay brought from the Netherlands. Borg worked in his workshop until his death in 2007.
This candleholder is in original vintage condition.
