Elizabeth II Silver Cello Box

A wonderful novelty piece of silver from the reign of Elizabeth II. Made in the form of a cello with a decorated front of three characters sat around a table eating and drinking and playing music. A young lady can be seen in the background. Overlapping are the strings of the cello and the bridge which has a cast figure of a woman. To the reverse of the piece has an identical scene to the front and is where the hinge and lid can be found to the box. A firm catch closes the lid. The hallmarks for Sheffield can be found on the neck of the piece. Weight 62 grams.
