This is a really unusual British office/commercial vintage wall clock. Made by Ferranti in the 1950s.
The case is in really nice condition for its age. A few small marks and no damage. It is steel with chrome plating. The dial has overall heavy foxing, there is no damage. The numerals and logo are all in pretty reasonable condition and legible. The hands are a little worn. The original glass is in good order with minimal wear. You will notice that there is a woven cable that sits between the glass and the case which was common practice. This is the original and you can see the frayed end around 4 o’clock.
Overall diameter 36 cm, depth 7 cm.
Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.
