Description
The city of Varamin, near Tehran, is quite small but has always produced very good quality carpets. The production has always been small, but invariably very good. This piece is very fine and in the cream ground, which is a more difficult colour ground to find in these goods. The Tehran design, which is flower heads in lattices with peacocks is more desirable and less common. A joyful carpet that would anchor a room beautifully.
