A captivating study in oils on stretched canvas depicting an attentive Grandmother with, presumably her grandchild.
Unknown artist and undated thought to be early 19th century based on ladies embroidered coif and other ephemera.
Mounted in gilt frame which is in very good order.
Inspected under UV light, there is one historic touch up on canvas about 5mm in diameter. (Located right of ladies elbow).
May benefit from professional cleaning.
